God is Our Sustenance

We all need food and water to live and to survive. God says in John 4:13, “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:” The water that he provides will ensure we never thirst again.

He also says in Luke 4:4, “And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” His spiritual water and his bread of knowledge that the word provides is really what man cannot live without. He is our sustenance. Things of this world cannot fuel us forever, but he can.
